Evidence-based Traditional Medicine

The contributions of Traditional Medicine (TM) to health and well-being are globally acknowledged. The World Health Organization's (WHO) traditional medicine strategy and its recent initiatives such as the establishment of the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine focus on developing scientific evidence and promoting research innovation. This Special Issue of the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine (J-AIM) titled 'Evidence-based Traditional Medicine' aims to present findings of the latest research on various TM systems for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases. We particularly welcome publications that investigate the effects and mechanisms (such as gut microbiome) of TM interventions on cancer and cancer-related conditions.
