Special issue information:

Efficient biosensing has proven useful for early-stage diseases diagnostics, treatment optimization, disease progression monitoring, point-of-care (POC) application, and optimizing personalized health management. In this direction, a low-level biomarker detection using appropriate surface functionalized photo electro active materials, miniaturized wearable sensing systems, artificial intelligence (AI) supported rapid data analytics, and internet of medical things (IoMT)-based bioinformatics sharing plays a crucial role for intelligent health wellness. To explore the aspects of personalized healthcare, this special issue focused on “advanced biosensing at point-of-care for intelligent health wellness” will highlight the developments and futuristics approaches investigated for managing efficient biosensing supported by smart materials, electronics, devices, and computational for detecting a targeted biomarker in desired sensing range selectively at POC.

SI Keywords:

  • Functional nano systems for biosensing
  • Advanced nano-bio-systems
  • Efficient diagnostics
  • POC biosensing,
  • AI and IoMT supported biosensing,
  • Personalized healthcare
  • Next generation biosensing
