Chemometrics: Intelligent data analysis for Analytical Chemistry (CAC2022)
While the added value of data analysis in AC is booming because of the data tsunamis of e.g. omics, hyperspectral imaging, sensors, it is good practice to continuously position chemometrics with respect to neighboring fields, such as Machine learning and Artificial intelligence While ML and AI are very promising fields they do not consider the properties of analytical data and cannot deal or cope with all the specific and typical issues of their interpretation which is exactly the subject field of chemometrics. In this special issue these aspects will be explored.

Special issue information:
The Thematic Issue “Advances in Flow Analysis” is related to the Flow Analysis XV conference, another edition of the series started in 1979 and organized every three years by various research centers around the world. The scope of the Flow Analysis XV conference covers both fundamental analytical aspects and advances in flow analysis, including the latest developments in flow-based analytical methods, sample preparation, and instrumentation; among them: automation, innovative technologies and materials in flow analysis, on-line sample processing, flow-based separation and preconcentration, miniaturized and microfluidic systems, hyphenated flow systems with liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis methods, as well as contribution of flow analysis to the development of green chemistry and sustainable development methods. The selected collection of submitted manuscripts, based on the Flow Analysis XV conference lectures and presentations will be published as the Thematic Issue in Analytica Chimica Acta.
SI Keywords:
Flow analysis, automation, sample preparation, micro-extraction, miniaturization, microfluidics, paper-based analytical device (µPAD), 3D-printing technology, nanotechnology, green analytical chemistry
Manuscript submission information:
The submission portal will be opened on 7-Jul-22, this special issue will be invitation-only.
