Forthcoming Special Issues
Novel Configured Materials and Structures
Novel configured materials and structures, such as cellular structures, lattice structures, auxetic structures, functionally graded or nano/micro-reinforcement materials and structures, have been a hot subject area that attracts intensive research interests, especially in recent 10 years.
A latest collection covering the most important advances in novel modelling and design methods as well as new manufacturing technologies is urgently needed for the innovation and development of next-generation materials and structures. The aim of this special issue is to showcase recent advances across the design, analysis, optimization of novel configured materials and structures as well as their applications in structural, aerospace, automotive, and biomedical engineering, etc.
The topics of particular interest in this special issue include (but are not limited to):
- Cellular structures
- Functionally graded structures
- Lattice structures
- Lightweight structures
- Nano/micro-reinforcement structures
- Free and forced vibration
- Bending, post-buckling and dynamic buckling
- Machine learning of configured structures
- Data-driven design of configured structures
- Optimization or topology optimization of configured structures
- Probabilistic and stochastic analyses of configured structures
