Special Issue on Human Microbiome
The Journal of Genetics and Genomics (JGG) is an international journal publishing peer-reviewed articles of novel and significant discoveries in the fields of genetics and genomics. JGG is now inviting submissions for a special issue (to be published in June 2023) on the topics of ‘Human Microbiome’. Prof. Fangqing Zhao, from Beijing Institute of Life Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, Prof. Jun Wang, from Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, and Prof. Lei Dai, from Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, are the guest editors for this issue.

Special issue information:
Submissions of original Research/Resource/Method articles reporting new findings/methods and forward-looking Review papers are welcomed. The Special Issue welcomes, but not limited to, the following topics:
- Microbiome-host cross-talks: molecules, pathways and mechanisms
- Microbiome in disease development and therapies
- Human microbiome engineering
- Mobile elements, antimicrobial resistance and gene transfer/evolution in the microbiome
- New analytical approaches for the study of microbiome functionality
- New frontiers in microbiome research: under-studied organs/tissues, meta-transcriptomics, meta-proteomics and epigenetics
The portfolio will be open for incoming manuscripts until February 28, 2023.
All manuscripts will undergo standard peer review, and must be submitted through JGG's online submission system (https://www.editorialmanager.com/jgg/default.aspx). Please indicate ‘Special Issue on Human Microbiome’ in the cover letter.

Prof. Xiaoqun Wang, from IDG/McGovern Institute for Brain Research, Beijing Normal University, China, Prof. Xun Xu, from BGI-Shenzhen, China, Prof. Ge Gao, from School of Life Sciences, Biomedical Pioneering Innovative Center (BIOPIC) & ICG, Center for Bioinformatics (CBI), Peking University, China, and Prof. Bing Liu, from Fifth Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital, Beijing, China, are the guest editors for this issue.
Submissions of original Research/Resource/Method articles reporting new findings/methods and forward-looking Review papers are welcomed. The Special Issue welcomes, but not limited to, the following topics:
· Spatiotemporal transcriptomics of important physiological and pathological processes
· Development in animals and plants at spatial and cellular resolution
· Spatiotemporal mapping in brain cells
